Position Description Overview


Brook street have got a great opportunity based in Basildon w currently recruiting for a Payroll Analyst. You will be responsible for maintaining an efficient and compliant payroll process within the HR Operations department. The Payroll Analyst has an in depth understanding of payroll taxation and payroll accounting processes, keeping updated with changes to taxation practices and new legislation that may have a payroll and HR impact. Under minimal supervision, they will process payroll, complete manual payroll calculations and ensure accurate preparation of payrolls.

Job Responsibilities


o Responsible for performing control/audit tasks and reporting and analysis within the payroll business process, including management of audit calendar, audit inquires, and end of year statement production. Problem resolution partnerships with other departments.
o Ownership of the end to end payroll process including identifying and implementing process improvements o Assisting in the development and coaching of the other members of the Payroll Team o Accurately prepare and check payroll data for processing o Ability to complete manual payroll calculations where necessary o Ensure that payroll records and systems are maintained accurately o Ensure processes are followed in line with UK legislation and company policy o Compilation of payroll reports o Support of external and internal audits o Enrolling employees into local systems o Statutory and year end reporting o Day to day contact point with vendor o Develop and maintain positive working relationships with the HR Team, Finance, Managers and Owner Associates

Job Requirements


o High school degree or equivalent experience.
o Three to five years automated payroll experience.
o Knowledge of payroll systems.
o Payroll processing experience preferred.
