Job Description:


Administer the company payrolls, ensuring that payments to employees are process in a timely and accurate manner and ensuring correct treatment for PAYE and compliance with statutory guidelines.

Duties:

  • Full Administration of the day to day input of the company's payrolls.
  • Ensure that payments/claims are correctly treated for PAYE and are coded appropriately for management accounting information adhering to company policy & procedures and Internal Audit requirements.
  • Load and manipulate electronic encrypted payroll data files from departments using Batch Worksheet process from Payroll system ensuring data is accurate and loading problems are resolved. Controlling payment schedules on spreadsheets and changing conditions as instructed.
  • Communicating with staff at all levels in all departments and external organisations regarding payment/PAYE query resolution and production of personal finance statements and letters.
  • Carry out report checks on exception, payroll and BACS reports as well as validation checks to verify integrity of data for anomalies and correct accordingly.
  • Post pay run administration/reports including preparation of cheque requests and foreign currency payments for system reconciliation.
  • Administration of overpayments, advances, staff cards (casual payrolls), Travelwise, and general duties including filing and sealing pay slips.
  • Other administration as delegated by the Payroll/Deputy Manager or Team Leader including carrying out manual rework calculations for incorrect and retrospective payments, including system reconciliation of PAYE, National Insurance refunds and pensions.


Essential:

  • Numerate to GCSE or equivalent level standard in Maths.
  • Fast and accurate data entry skills.
  • Knowledge of IT, computer literate - Excel & Word
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent time management skills.


Desirable:

  • Knowledge of PSE and Tax queries.
