Job Description
Currently working with a well respected client of Brook Street's who are looking for a strong Payroll Officer in the Cardiff area.
The Role -
- Calculating and submitting 100+ auto-enrolment pension files on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Liaising with clients on payroll issues and ensuring they are compliant with statutory payroll legislation.
- PAYE control and reconciliation.
- Setting up new clients on the payroll system and registering PAYE schemes with HMRC.
- Liaising with external organisations such as HMRC, DWP, The Pensions Regulator and Nest.
- Issuing client payroll reports and pay slips.
- Implementing and maintaining orderly filing systems in order that records can be easily accessible.
- Knowledge of all tax documentation, e.g. P60's & P11D's etc.
- Managing and processing a portfolio of 110+ client payrolls based on weekly, monthly and 4 weekly pay frequencies within a busy payroll bureau.
The Ideal Candidate -
- Previous Sage experience
- Knowledge of Payroll Legislation
- Self motivated and ability to meet deadlines and budgets
A attractive salary range - £18,000-£24,000.
