PAYROLL OFFICER

Job Description

Brook Street (UK) Ltd is seeking a Payroll Officer for our public sector client based in Ballymena.

The Payroll Officer will process all computerised weekly and monthly payroll in an accurate and timely basis, process travel and subsistence claims, deal with all HMRC returns and all pension returns, respond to enquiries from employees and line managers, maintain the highest standard of confidentiality, and comply with current statutory legislation and Council policy.

Our client has advised that this role will be in place for at least 12 months, and the successful candidate will be paid within the £25,419 to £27,514 salary bracket. The role is office-based in Ballymena, the Payroll Officer will work 37 hours per week, the days of work are Monday to Friday, and the hours of work are 0900-1700.

Candidates must have five GCSEs at grade C and above including English and Maths and 2 years' experience in the areas listed below or, if they don't have a third-level qualification, they must have 4 years' experience in the following areas:

  • Computerised payroll and pension administration of 200+ employees; and
  • Dealing effectively and efficiently with enquiries relating to payroll.
