Job Description

The Role:

Brook Street are proud to be working in partnership with Homes England, based in Newcastle in their search for a Payroll Officer. To provide an effective professional and dedicated payroll support service to
the integrated Payroll, Pension and HR team. Managing and coordinating key tasks, outputs, and reports of the team
ensuring they are executed and delivered to an appropriate standard and
quality in line with Payroll, pension and HR reporting time lines and requirements.

Responsibilities:

To administer the day to day activities of the delivery of the payroll for
Homes England in accordance with established procedures and
timetables

 Collate and input monthly payroll information/changes in preparation
for the monthly payroll

 Assist the Payroll Manager to enable the monthly pay run, producing
system reports and preparing BACS payment/RTI files, liaising with HR
for the signing off of the payroll

 Undertake Payroll knowledge, data and records management systems
and processes; ensuring consistency and continuity

 Assist with the design, development and implementation of Payroll
projects, processes and policies

 To assist the Payroll Manager in providing payroll information in
response to ad hoc requests and queries

 To maintain an up to date knowledge of the

Assignment: Covering Maternity until June 2024
Start date - ASAP
Rate of Pay: £14.39 per hour paid weekly in arrears
Hours: 37 per week, Monday - Friday
Location: Newcastle city centre
Working arrangements: Hybrid working, expected to work in the office 50% of the time.
