Job Description

* A new exciting vacancy for our NHS client in Finance *
Temp hourly rate/annual salary: £ 9.90 per hour
Client Location: NHS Waterside House Town Quay, Southampton SO14
Proposed Start Date: ASAP
End Date/Duration: 6 MONTHS - with possible extension (Subject to performance)
* full time MON-FRI 9-5 Note: This role is Hybrid at the moment one day a month in the office. Maybe more at training stage with flexible shift time Monday - Friday 7.5 working core hours

To assist The Pensions Team Leader in the provision of an effective service, processing all pension information accurately and on time. Ensuring all Statutory, Organizational and Client requirements are met in accordance with the NHS Pension Scheme Regulations. Assist in providing an information service to individual employees and Management to assist in their decision making to ensure correct benefits and costings are achieved for the individuals concerned. Delivering customer service and the required results to support Key Performance Indicators by maintaining and standardizing the following responsibilities. Dealing with confidential personal information.


Provide information and relevant documentation to NHS Pensions utilizing Pensions Online where appropriate.
Calculating periods of pensionable pay accurately by interpreting the information held on the payroll system.
Provide information and relevant documentation when requested by all clients
Provide payroll with the relevant pension information to process the payroll on a timely basis
Responsible for dealing effectively with enquiries from clients both internal and external, by telephone, mail, email or in person, at all times conveying a professional and efficient attitude following customer service standards
Achieving standards set within the Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators for all clients.
Health and Safety around own environment.
Supporting NHS Shared Business Services, Line Manager and the Pension Team as necessary
General office administration, including stationery, post, and photocopying.
Filing all documentation as necessary and maintaining the files.
When not in the office this would be actioned remotely.
Respond to general enquiries from NHS Pensions relating to clients.
Ad hoc tasks deemed appropriate to level.
