People Services Assistant
Nottingham NG5
Full Time - 37 Hours - (Between the hours of 8.00am - 5.00pm)
£10.08 per hour

We are currently recruiting for an interesting position for the Nottinghamshire Police
This Role is for 6 months initially (with a possibility of extension)
Key responsibilities;

" Provide general advice, manage and resolve internal/external customer enquiries and requests for service in line with HR policies/procedures, relevant legislation and service standards, ensuring an efficient first time correct response/service is provided.
" Carry out system administration duties by ensuring that transactional workflow activities, emails and posts are dealt with across a wide range of employee lifecycle processes in a timely manner, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
" Update and maintain HR systems in accordance with policies/procedures, relevant legislation and service standards in order to prepare, collate and record information, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data within all areas of employee lifecycle.
" Working within a team environment undertake updates and tests to the HR system at regular intervals to ensure data integrity and efficient system processes.
" Undertake research and other tasks as directed to support the delivery of projects and activity within People Services
" Ensure that the force values and behavioural expectations are clearly understood and embraced within the team.
" To participate in the Force PDR process and take responsibility for identifying your own professional and career development needs. Maintain continuing professional development to ensure that the Force remains aware of statutory obligations and good practice and that you offer professional, up to date views, opinions and advice that are contextually based.
" Establish and maintain positive working relationships externally, within HR and stakeholder departments to promote one team focus. Support the People Services values by treating 'Everybody' both internally within People Services and in the wider Nottinghamshire Police family as an Adult, a Customer and a Human being ('EACH') and adopting a culture of collaboration and team working within People Services.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Experience working within a team, supporting colleagues and making a positive contribution.

Experience of advising internal & external customers on both policies/ procedures, relevant legislation within a HR or customer service environment.

Understanding of the Data Protection Act and its application

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

Customer Service or Administration Qualification to Level 2 or equivalent level of experience.
