Job Description

I am looking to recruit a Performance Supervisor to join a highly successful and well recognised manufacturing company based in Lincoln.

As the Performance Supervisor you will be responsible for a range of aspects within the department, including safety, productivity, inventory, quality, delivery and manpower.

Key Responsibilities:
" Awareness of all Health and Safety regulations/recommendations and all Company Health and Safety regulations/recommendations applicable within the area. Ensure regulations and recommendations are adhered to. Ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times and immediate action is taken if a Health and Safety issue occurs
" Lead, direct and focus the efforts of the team whereby product is manufactured effectively and efficiently to meet the requirements of internal/external customer, whilst ensuring departmental and business targets are attained
" Ensuring the quality of manufactured product meets drawing specification, and is handled / manufactured to negate the need for any additional unplanned operations
" Ensure shop-documentation and electronic information relating to all aspects of how product has been manufactured is accurate, (with attention to physical quantity against recorded quantity)
" Identifying Continuous Improvement activities that focus on Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People and Performance
" Dealing with poor performance in a timely manner, with an appropriate style and response to ensure performance improvement
" Identifying the necessary human and material resources to meet departmental and business objectives
" Identifying training programs to improve team-member skills and flexibility within the work area which support Performance objectives


Key Skills and Competencies Required:
" Experience of undertaking a leading role in a manufacturing environment with responsibility for management of teams, the work area and planning and organising of work in line with business requirements
" Awareness and understanding of Lean Manufacturing
" Manufacturing skills relative to the specific work area
" Ability to read and understand drawings/geometric tolerances, and measuring instrumentation skills
" Shows strong customer service skills in managing difficult situations with both internal and external customer issues
" Exceptional communicator and listener who effectively conveys accurate, up to date and meaningful information both verbally and in writing
" Innovative problem-solver who is able to identify practical workable solutions in a timely manner
" Flexible team-player who thrives in environments requiring the ability to effectively prioritise multiple activities, competing demands, delays and unexpected events
" Work within the Quality Management System, under the guidelines of BS EN ISO 9001 / BS EN 9100, and any other controls that may be supplemented to meet the specific requirements of customers and regulatory authorities


Job Type: Permanent

Standard Hours: 37 hours (3 Shift Rotation)

Salary: up to £23,300 + DOE + fantastic additional benefits (very high employer pension contribution, private health care and more)
