Job Description

My Public Sector Client is looking for a Permitting Support Administrator to work within their Permitting Team. This is a temporary ongoing role, Monday to Friday 9.00 to 5.30pm, 37.00 hours a week. This role is paying £10.14 per hour. This role is mainly home based, but you may be asked to attend their offices in Central Birmingham for your initial training period or if required.

The clients Permitting Support Team manage incoming low risk license and permit applications, providing support to technical centres throughout the application process. Environmental permits are required for activities that could pollute the air, water or land, increase the flood risk, or adversely affect land drainage

The main role responsibilities are listed below, and any other ad hoc administration duties as required:
" Act as an initial point of contact for customers who need information and advice
" Review applications to assess their completeness and obtain further information from the customer if required
" Manage your own workload of ongoing cases and queries
" Update databases and records
" Accurately complete applications
" Work alongside team members in delivering team and individual targets

You should be a strong written and verbal communicator and able to build and sustain relationships, being able to also develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

You will work as part of a team, co-operatively to achieve common goals, but must also be self-motivated and work independently.
You will be expected to be confident, highly organised and have attention to detail. Communication skills are essential and of course strong MS office skills.
