Type: Long-term temporary Salary: £13.05 / hour up to £14.13/hr after 12 weeks

Brook Street has been chosen as a recruitment partner to hire temporary admin and clerical workers for central government departments and the public sector across the UK. We're currently looking for an experienced, professional Executive Secretary / Personal Assistant for a governmental department in Central London.
This is an ongoing, long-term temporary assignment, working Monday-Friday (9am-5pm) and many of these opportunities offer a significant pay increase on completion of 12 weeks in the same department.
Providing high-level, diverse secretarial and administrative support to one or two key senior managers, your duties will include:
" Composing non-routine correspondence
" Compiling reports
" Transcribing dictation
" Typing documents, using word processor or spreadsheet software
" Receiving visitors
" Screening and directing manager's telephone calls
" Diary management
" Arranging meetings or travel
" Maintaining records or files

" Potential for long-term or multiple temp assignments once you hold security clearance
" Minimum of 35 days holiday (pro rata) following 12 consecutive weeks in the same department

Typical qualifications and experience required:
" Stage III RSA certificate (or equivalent) in typing / word processing
" Minimum typing speed of 60 wpm combined with advanced audio typing skills and shorthand if required at 110 / 120wpm
" Preferably a member of IQPS
" Experience as an executive secretary / personal assistant
" An advanced level of computer literacy and wide knowledge of relevant software packages
" Excellent communication skills both oral and written
