Job Description

PERSONAL ASSISTANT REQUIRED WITHIN THE PUBLIC SECTOR


Brook Street (UK) Ltd is delighted to be recruiting a PA for our client, Education Authority Northern Ireland, based at their Dundonald site.

This will be a full-time, temporary role and the successful candidate will be acting as PA to a Solicitor.

Duties will include providing PA support to the Solicitor, ensuring the strictest confidentiality and diplomacy at all times, making and taking calls on behalf of the Solicitor, and maintain a personal and office diary.

The PA will also arrange meetings, consultations, Tribunal hearings, Court appearances and talks / conferences, check and prioritise mail, make appropriate travel arrangements, draft and prepare routine correspondence and reports, collate information, and prepare and update statistical information.

In addition to demonstrating on your CV how the knowledge and skills you developed throughout your work history will enable you to complete those duties, candidates must be able to show that they meet the following criteria:

Have a minimum of five GCSEs (Grades A* C) including English and Maths or equivalent or higher examination qualifications and have a minimum of two years' experience in a paid capacity providing administrative support which must include the following:
Using Microsoft Word (to process letters, memos, reports etc.);
Using Microsoft Outlook (to send / receive e-mails);
Drafting correspondence; OR
Have a minimum of five years' experience in a paid capacity providing administrative support which must include the following:
Using Microsoft Word (to process letters, memos, reports etc.);
Using Microsoft Outlook (to send/receive e-mails);
Drafting correspondence;
Diary management; and
Maintaining records
