Job Description

We are looking for a Personal Assistant (PA) to join our client the Environment Agency

If you are an experienced PA looking for a role with a civil service organisation, then this may be the role for you

  • Client/Role: Environment Agency - Personal Assistant
  • Location: Leeds City Centre
  • Hybrid working: a mixture of office working and working from home
  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week. Hours must be completed between 7-6
  • Salary: £12.45 per hour (£24,203 per year)
  • Assignment length: 6 months (end of January 2023)

Overview of role:

You will provide the full range of executive personal assistant, administrative and secretarial support to the Director including ensuring an appropriate balance of support is provided

Responsibilities of the role are the following:

  • Diary management;
  • Correspondence and email management,
  • Meeting arrangements and event management
  • Booking travel and hotels
  • Provision of administrative duties, general office cover for telephones, hosting visitors
  • Produces minutes/a record of meetings as requested by the Director, communicates outcomes and ensures that follow up action is taken
  • Ensures that the Director is fully prepared for all activities undertaken in the course of their day to day activities, including writing, commissioning, co-ordinating and quality assuring briefings as necessary

Skills & Experience required for the role:

  • Experience of working as a PA before
  • Strong administration background
  • Confident with MS Office packages (word, excel, outlook)
  • Organisation
  • Stakeholder management
  • Strong communication
  • Can work both independently and as part of a team

This role offers a training programme to allow you to adapt to the in house systems. The first few weeks may take place from the office until you are up to speed with the role.
