Personal Tax Assistant/Senior

Edinburgh/Fife

Full time - Permanent

With exciting plans for growth underway to accommodate for client needs, my client is looking to grow from a headcount of 65 to 70 this year.

Duties:

-Prepare personal and partnership tax returns, including business tax & capital allowances
-Manage the compliance process for several clients, ensuring that deadlines are met, and that management are informed.
-Preparation of capital gains tax and advising clients accordingly
-Preparation of sole trader income and expenditure accounts
-Advising clients of tax and national insurance liabilities correctly
-Dealing with general queries, telephone calls, e-mails, HM Revenue & Customs and others
-Assisting with training of junior members of staff from time to time

What we are looking for:

-Minimum of 3 years experience in personal and business tax including capital allowances inputs.
-Some knowledge of CHH software is desirable
-Proficient use of Word and Excel
-Good communication skills
-Good time management skills and ability to work under pressure and manage multiple work streams and deadlines
-Good decision-making skills and ability to support conclusions reached
