I am recruiting for an experienced Full Stack PHP Developer for my client wo are based on the outskirts of Worcester town centre. They are offering a salary of up to £40,000 with the potential of flexible working.

THE ROLE
As a Full Stack PHP Developer, you will have a passion for writing clean, secure and testable code. You will need to have significant commercial experience in creating secure, high-performance web applications.

You will have significant experience of Object-Oriented (OO) Software design principles and best practices, such as working to PHP Standards Recommendations (PSRs), and a good understanding of the current JavaScript and CSS ecosystems. Familiarity with SQL and basic database normalisation is also required.

PHP, JavaScript and MySQL applications form the core of all of systems, including the email and web hosting infrastructures. As such, an understanding of the protocols underlying these internet technologies, such as HTTP, SMTP, FTP, SSH, TLS and DNS would be beneficial.

TYPICAL DAILY JOB DUTIES - WHAT ARE YOU RESPONSIBLE FOR?
- Performing both front end and back end web development
- Writing clean, solid code, which stands the test of time, and does not become the legacy nightmare of tomorrow
- Working to PHP standards (PSR's)
- Getting involved at every stage of the web/system process, from Scoping, to quality assessing
- Working on a number of varied projects at one time
- Supporting the team with extra help and support when required

PERSON SPECIFICATION
ESSENTIAL:
- Previous secure and reusable coding experience, both front end and back end
- Commercial based work experience is essential
- Extensive knowledge of Object Orientated PHP
- Core JavaScript concepts, such as Prototypal Inheritance
- Relational databases and SQL
- Unit testing with PHPUnit
- Good understanding of security issues on the internet
- HTML experience
- CSS experience
- Familiar with PHP standards (PSR's)
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask

DESIRABLE
- Knowledge of Agile Software Development (Scrum, Kanban)
- Asynchronous JavaScript using Promises
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases (Memcache, Redis, ElasticSearch)
- RESTful Web Services knowledge
- Package Management (Composer, Bower, NPM)
- Experience with frameworks (Zend, Knockout, Backbone, jQuery)
- Usability, Accessibility, SEO & W3C Standards
- MVC Applications knowledge
- HTML5, XHTML, Sass, Git, RabbitMQ experience
- HTTP, SMTP, FTP, SSH, TLS, DNS experience
