Job Description

My client, a hugely successful and highly regarded company that provide online IT solutions and services for individuals and businesses is currently recruiting for a PHP/Java Script Developer to join their award winning team in their Worcester office.

The successful applicant must have a passion for writing clean, well structured and testable code, and in maintaining a highlyautomated development platform and continuous integration system.

The role requires a good general understanding of software development best practices, such as working to PHP Standards Recommendations (PSRs), in addition to basic Linux System Administration, Virtual Networking and Docker Containers.

Experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript and working to applicable W3C standards is also required, along with good knowledge of current and emerging technologies for both frontend and backend web development.
Essential Requirements:
- Strong experience of Object Orientated Programming
- Experience of basic Linux Systems Administration, Virtual
Networks and Docker Containers
- Strong experience of relational database systems
- Good understanding of PHP and MySQL
- Good understanding of security issues on the internet
- Good understanding of internet protocols
- HTML
- CSS
- Javascript

In return for all the above you will be offered a highly competitive basic salary of up to £60,000 plus additional company benefits, and the opportunity to work remotely one or two days a week.

If successful in this position you will be expected to be in the Worcester office full time, for about 4 weeks for the initial settling in; training; getting used to our systems and team. Dependent on location of the successful candidate, the company would pay hotel, travel, food etc while training.
