Job Description

Brook Street Recruitment is working with our client in Templepatrick to recruit a new full time and permanent Planner/Scheduler

The candidate hired for this role will be responsible, daily for the efficient planning and scheduling of our team of engineers.

Responsibilities:

Plan daily work schedules and job attendance for a team of mobile engineers
Creation of job cards
Check the quality of completed job card write ups, ensuring that parts and labour are all accounted for
Effectively liaise with Service Administration and Parts Departments to ensure smooth completion of jobs from start to finish
Follow up and liaise with customers as to when engineers will be arriving on site
Monitor, control and grow productivity, efficiency and utilisation of Engineer team
Control, measure, and report on first time fix rate of Engineers
Ensure health and safety regulations and housekeeping procedures are adhered to in the workshop and outbuildings
Other duties as commensurate with the position

Criteria

Previous experience of planning/scheduling work for a team of mobile staff
Strong, demonstrable experience of working in a technical service department is highly desirable
Mechanical knowledge of plant equipment
Possess the ability to stay calm when managing a range of different situations and be able to confront problems whilst remaining resilient to setbacks
The ability to make informed, considerate decisions having due regard for all risk involved
Be a forward thinker who utilises effective time management skills
Possess a strong commercial focus and fully understand the impact of factors affecting engineer efficiency and utilisation
The ability to communicate effectively across a range of departments
Fully proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Outlook & Excel) as well as service system packages
A flexible attitude to work
Full driving licence
