Job Description

Do you have a planning /stock control background ? Have knowledge of Sage line 200 or Excel ?

My client are a major supplier of analgesics to the British pharmacy and grocery sectors throughout the UK. Through a consistent program of investment and innovative management, they have become one of the UK`s specialist pharmaceutical manufacturing and contract packers. By controlling growth we are able to respond quickly to the needs of their customers, giving them the first to market advantage. They are a long established company, trading and manufacturing in the UK for over 35 years.
Job Purpose: Coordinate the Production Schedule across the plant in the UK. to meet business and Customer needs for product availability, inventory levels and costs.
The role:
Responsible for maintaining accurate stocks of materials and finished goods
by batch reconciliation
Responsible for dealing with any stock discrepancy queries with the co-operation of the warehouse personnel
Responsible to ensure that all relevant materials are available to fulfil the weekly schedule, considering available space (Manufacturing and Packaging)
Ensure that all relevant paper work is accurate and comply with relevant SOPs
Responsible to issue all the relevant paper work (BARs - Batch Assembly Record) to the packaging department.
Responsible for checking all completed BARs ensuring that the paperwork is accurate and correct following the relevant procedures before given this to QP (Qualified Person)
Maintain accurate Stock Control and Bill of materials at 99% to ensure that any changes are up to date
Maintain accurate lead times in system to avoid material shortage. Drive and contribute to implement of a planning system
Manage the factory planning system to ensure that all require materials, labour and equipment are available to fulfil customer's requirements
Ensure that all packaging rooms have all relevant paperwork, materials, labels and avoid any downtime
Participate in daily scheduling meetings
Encourage a culture of respect and understanding to maintain good working relations
with all stock holders
Contribute to the development of an environment of continuous improvement
To work in co-operation and collaboration as a team member to ensure all objectives are met
Ensure all Safety and Quality guidelines are adhered to
To carry out any other reasonable requests from management.

The salary is up to £35K and additional benefits include 20 days holiday + bank holidays, free on site car parking and an annual 3-5% discretionary bonus based on company performance.
