Planning Manager

Telford - Paying up to £25,000pa DOE

Working 8.30-4.30 Monday - Thursday & finish at 1.30 on a Friday

My client comes with over 50 years industry experience and are part of a Global business. You will be joining a small stable manufacturing team and as the Planning Manager will be the interface between the shop floor and management team.

You:
Will have previous experience in a planning role
Have experience working within a manufacturing environment
Be able to demonstrate excellent written & oral communication skills
Have a sound working knowledge of SAP & Excel
A problem solver
Have a hands-on approach to your work


The Role:
Produce production plans to maximise efficiency
Issuing the production plan to the team
Delegate tasks
Monitor performance against production schedule & amend accordingly
Order raw materials
Liaise with logistics department regarding completed works orders
Work closely with internal departments regarding customer orders & capacity
Escalate planning issues to the Production Manager including requests for overtime to meet customer demands
Process holidays requests
Authorise agency workers timesheets
Order PPE and site consumables
