Are you looking for a bit of extra money on top of your weekly wage? Are you a newly qualified student wanting to get your foot on the career ladder? Do you want to make a real difference in the local community? If so we would love to hear from you!

We are currently looking for a play leader to run our activities club on a Saturday. This service is for children aged 5-11 with learning disabilities. Due to the nature of this role it is essential that you hold either a level 3 qualification in health and social care children's and young or a level 3 in childcare related subject.

It would be advantageous if you have experience in working with learning disabilities service users either personally or professionally. You must be able to get to Sale and being a driver would be advantageous. There is an expectation for you to work a minimum of 5 Saturdays out of 6, this being due to popular demand of the service it has grown from being every other Saturday morning to now being every Saturday all day! The company is looking to get a play leader in post, so they can expand this service further! This service doesn't just provide a safe, fun and friendly service to children with learning disabilities, but it provides valuable respite to the families and carers of the children. So, your hard-work and dedication will be invaluable.

We would ideally like the candidate to have an awareness and understanding of autism and other learning disabilities and the candidate must be willing to undertake more training regarding epilepsy and medication.

You will need to be organised, able to demonstrate effective planning skills and co-ordinating of activities, you will be able to lead a team and communicate effectively and prioritise the service users and service above all else. You will be planning and delivering fun and interactive sessions, sensory sessions and trips out!

This is an ideal opportunity for those who want to top up their weekly wage or for those looking for part time work whilst studying or coming out of education looking to start a rewarding career in the care sector. In reward for your hard-work and dedication you will receive a generous salary, pension scheme, free-parking on site and excellent career progression opportunities and overtime opportunities!

This is a fantastic opportunity that will not be around long, so apply online today or call Han on 0161 228 6168 or email to discuss this further!
