Post Completion Assistant
Monday - Friday 9.00am-5.00pm
Newcastle Upon Tyne

Our client based in Newcastle is seeking to appoint a Post completion assistant on a permanent basis to join their Residential conveyancing team this is fantastic opportunity to progress and enhance your career in Conveyancing with an outstanding award winning firm.

You must have a minimum of 6 months experience working within a Conveyancing.

Duties include;
- The preparation and lodging of AP1 and FR1 applications at the Land Registry, within strict deadlines.
- Dealing with requisitions (within HMLR deadlines);
- Updating / responding to queries raised by mortgage lenders / clients on the progress of registrations;
- Chasing landlords / management companies for receipts, notices of assignment / charges;
- Dealing with other enquiries under the guidance of the team leader / fee earner;
- Sending completed registrations, and any deeds / indemnity policies to clients and / or mortgage lenders;
- Ensuring the Land Registry portal T&Cs are met when lodging applications;
- Managing repayment of retentions on leasehold files;
- Advising the team leader / head of department as to any potential risks / negligence claims;
- To carry out the file closure procedure on sales and purchase files, ensuring a zero account balance.
- To ensure all necessary documentation is returned to the client and / or mortgage lender at the end of the transaction.
- To act as overflow for the post team during periods of absence.
- To update / allocate cases for fee earners on the firm's systems (LMS and Lender Exchange).
