Our North Belfast Client is seeking a Practice Manager to cover a Maternity period up to 9 months
Our client operates a well-run and welcoming practice for their patients and have been located at their site for over 20 years.
Our client has advised us that the Practice Manager vacancy is to cover a Maternity period. The hours of work is Monday - Tuesday - Thursday and Friday from 0900 to 1700 and Wednesday from 0900 to 1300
We are seeking applications from candidates who have experience as a Practice Manager, who can provide leadership and management skills to enable the Practice to meet its agreed aims and objectives within a profitable, efficient, safe and effective working environment.
Computer literate with excellent keyboard skills
Demonstrable experience of people management
Employment law, health & safety, employment contracts
Self-starter, able to work on own initiative, following set procedures and protocols
Experience of Microsoft Office software
Experience of dealing with the public/patients

Manage effectively and efficiently the Practice, including the management of the administrative staff, Practice Nurse, Phlebotomists and Counsellors. Also management of premises, IT equipment and services
The role involves the use of a range of management skills, these include; staff management, patient complaints, GP rotas, annual leave, Locums etc.
Overall responsibility for daily administration of the practice including delegating duties to the Practice Administrator, Officer Supervisor and the IT & Finance Administrator
Ensure efficiency of reception and office procedures
Participate as required in any grievance and disciplinary matters
Participate in the selection and appointment of staff
Manage and have sound working knowledge of the GMS contract and assist the Doctors to meet the requirements
Organise practice meetings eg GP and Admin staff / GP and other health professionals
In return you will receive an hourly rate fo £13.45 per hour and paid on a weekly basis. The applicant will receive the full job description upon registration. Applicants must have a good level of education to GCSE / O Level standard or equivalent or ideally a recognised Management qualification to Diploma level or above and demonstrable commitment to professional development
