Veterinary Practice Manager
Forres, Moray

£30-40k

Brook Street are delighted to be working in partnership with Moray Coast Vet Group (MCVG) to recruit a new Practice Manager.

Moray Coast Vet Group is an independent multi-disciplinary practice providing expert, comprehensive care and treatment to clients throughout the Moray and Highland area.

The main practice is situated in Forres, a small village on the stunning Moray Coast in the North of Scotland, with three other sites in Inverness, Nairn and Lossiemouth.

Over the last 35 years the practice has grown steadily in size and is now under the ownership of four directors, all practising Veterinarians, who offer specialist expertise in all aspects of small animal care, equine and farm animals.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Overseeing the day to day operations of four surgery sites
• As a member of Senior Management, solve problems swiftly to ensure business continuity and smooth processes, this includes overseeing all buildings related issues
• Work with the Clinical Leads to ensure processes and protocols are in place, visible, understood and adhered to
• Regulatory Compliance: - Health & Safety, Data Control, Waste and RCVS
• Undertaking finance role - preparation of payroll, weekly cash flow, capital expenditure, leasing, taxes and invoicing
• Be present at weekly Directorial meeting, distribute minutes and actions
• Assist with recruitment, when required
• Staff appraisals
• Line manage - head receptionist and head nurse across all sites
• Oversee weekly rota for staffing levels
• Interaction and weekly dealings with Medical reps

What we are looking for in you

• Our preferred candidate will have some experience in the Veterinary industry as well as previous business/practice management experience (CVPM or equivalent)
• IT, communication and interpersonal skills
• HR/Line Management experience would be desirable
• Excellent communication skills and commercially minded
• Have a passion for developing and coaching colleagues
• You will have an approachable, empathetic and caring attitude
• Be a strong team player
• Work in a highly confidential manner
