We currently have exciting opportunity within Coventry for a full-time Pricing Clerk on a temporary to permanent opportunity.
Job Title: Pricing Clerk
Salary: £11 - £12 per hour
Hours: 9am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday
Location: Coventry (CV2)
Duration: Temporary to Permanent
This position will assist with the day to day pricing requirements, working with both the operations and sales departments.
Responsibilities and duties to include:
· Creating pricing for both full container load and less than container load shipments, ranging from small one day quotes to larger multi-lane opportunities
· Negotiating buy rates with carriers
· Providing assistance to other pricing teams
· Liaising with customers for shipping advice
· Updating of pricing and distribution of rates to regular customers
· Assisting our Sales Team with specific pricing requirements
Ideal candidates will possess:
" Knowledge of the ocean freight industry would be an advantage.
" Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are essential, as well as a keen eye for detail.
" Needs to be able to work well within a small team, as well as using own initiative.
" Good knowledge of Microsoft Packages
This role is to start immediately with the opportunity to be made permanent after 12 weeks. Candidates will be required to complete a one stage interview which will be completed face to face.
