Role Details

Transactional/Case work mix - processing subject access requests on a case by case basis.
MOJ responsible for data access for every user inc. prison population - SAR for MOJ. Have recruited a full time team of 25+2 TL in last 3 or 4 months. Increasing headcount with this 25 to speed up processing. Temps can pick up scanning/admin etc. leaving core team to do the bulk of the work.

Good articulation and understanding reading through volumes. Reading documentation and interpreting it. No candidates under 18 due to content of documents.

The day job

We're currently looking for a number of team members for our exciting new Offender Subject Access Request team, working within the Document Management area and supporting SSCL's client MOJ. The team will be responsible for responding to subject access requests for the Prison Service, HMPPS.

Day to day, this role will include tasks such as, data collation, detailed review of documentation, content redaction, compliance checking, the recording of statistics related to the process and some query resolution. The core of this role is the accurate and compliant provision of data in response to subject access requests, therefore a keen eye for detail and high levels of focus and accuracy are key for this role.

All roles are office based in our Newport and Newcastle Centre of Excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Learn the procedures and understand parameters of producing a compliant output.
Process work in line with agreed procedures.
Process work to the defined level of quality.
Resolve queries, escalate as necessary and log if appropriate.
To schedule and prioritise allocated work on a daily basis.
Identify and suggest areas of improvement.
Maintain and update information as required.
Support line management on any additional admin when required.
Liaise with internal/external clients.
Maintain records for audit purposes.
Ensure deadlines are met.
