Job Description

Brook Street are seeking a temporary Procurement Administrator / Senior Buyer on behalf of NHS Blood & Transplant in Filton, Bristol.

As a Procurement Administrator / Senior Buyer, you will be supporting the Procurement Management Team to ensure that the internal customers receive the goods and services they need in a timely manner ensuring that the bloody supply to our hospital customers is not at risk.

You`ll receive customer demands, interpret those requests, ensuring that the appropriate procurement method is applied, resulting in best value for money procurement on its non-pay expenditure being achieved by the NHS BT.

You will be part of a dedicated team of procurement professionals, responsible for negotiating and managing a variety of business contracts and framework agreements.

Job requirements:

-Administration experience, with experience in logistics or procurement an advantage

-Experience of formal contracting

-Some understanding of legislation relating to goods and services

-Experience of working with Information Technology using Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

-Experience of using IT systems to produce reports and correspondence which are timely, professional and accurate, including financial data

This assignment will commence ASAP subject to 3 years references. This is likely to become a permanent position.

You will be paid £10.83 which increases to £12.38 after 12 weeks.
