Job Description

I am delighted to be supporting an exceptional client of ours on their search for an addition to their Procurement team.

A leading business within the Automotive industry, based in Slough are seeking a Procurement category manager. It's a great time to join this business with their current investment in employees and business development.

Offering a salary up to £55,000 depending on experience and the exciting chance to begin your CIPS qualification.

Key responsibilities -
- Stake holder management and relationship development
- Identifying, reviewing and implementing improvement processes for the procurement department
- Being a brand ambassador and representing the business at all levels
- Working with various teams in the business to support with legal, financial and commercial requirements ensuring all standards are met
- Meeting agreed SLA's and KPI's
- Working closely with budget responsibilities
- Identifying and managing risk
- Keep up to date and on track with supply market data
- Category management across a range of procurement categories
- Procurement improvement relating to systems and processes

Key skills required -
- Knowledge of procurement category management within a blue-chip environment
- Cost analysis and delivery of cost reduction
- Ability to influence and manage stakeholders effectively
- Strong and developed negotiation skills
- Team orientated work ethic
- Excellent communication skills and ability to from and build business relationships
- Drive to succeed and deliver results
- A strong commercial and financial acumen
- Customer focused ability - delivering the customer interaction quality required
- Multitasking ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Meeting targets and deadlines set for projects
- Automotive aftersales knowledge would be beneficial but not essential
