Brook Street are working with a superb organisation who are looking to add a Procurement Manager to join their team - due to substantial growth they want someone to come in and hit the ground running.

Job Description
The main responsibilities of the role will include, but not be limited to:
" The purchasing assistant will report directly in to this role
" Working closely with the management team and its staff to ensure smooth delivery of raw materials and goods in a timely manner
" Ensure required materials arrive at correct sets in a timely manner, and that quantities agree to purchase orders at the right quality
" Create database of incoming quality specifications for raw materials and purchased pellet
" Ongoing contact with a variety of suppliers, to negotiate best prices and terms Identifying and assessing potential suppliers and products
" Periodically review and analyse levels of purchases by type and supplier
" Be part of the team that continually review the purchasing strategy, looking to drive improvement.
" Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels both within internal and external customers.

Experience required/preferable:
" A good knowledge and understanding of polythene or plastics industry
" Recycling and polymer industry
" Sage accounting
" Excellent negotiation skills
" Previous experience in a similar role or within the polymer buying sector
" Excellent telephone manner
" Good working knowledge of Microsoft office
" Numerically competent
" Clean Driving License
" Ability to develop and improve management information analysis
