A hugely successful commercial vehicle manufacturer located in Worcestershire is seeking a Production Planning Manager to join their team, to schedule and co-ordinate all aspect of production operations.

The role of the Production Planning Manager is to take responsibility for the overall organisation, management direction and control of all factory functional departments and ensure that production output is maximised and on time and organise and control all production within the factory to achieve all output targets in terms of quantity, quality, build targets, costs, and customer requirements.
Working closely with the MD you will also Work closely with heads of departments to understand build instructions and customer requirements. You will liaise with the Drawing Office to ensure the shop floor are fed with the correct drawings and hold meetings with the key production Team Leaders and Management on a weekly basis to progress on build, times, job progress, any issues requiring action, materials and parts resources.
Communicating effectively is a key function of this role; both with our customers but also with staff internally. You should work well under pressure and have a calm and methodical approach to problem solving. Being a strong team player with a hands-on mentality is important.
Due to the nature of the role candidates must possess prior manufacturing experience at a senior level with the ability to plan, coordinate and retain large variety of tasks and information.
