Production Operative

Location: Standlake - Witney - Oxfordshire

Rate: £9.24ph

As a Production Operative, you`ll work in a cutting-edge packing centre where you`ll help us get thousands of eggs (or other foods) to customers nationwide. It`s all about working together to meet targets and ensure the job gets done. That means you need to be good with people and brilliant in a team. You`ll also need to know about Health & Safety as well as Food Hygiene. We`ll expect you to follow hygiene standards, minimise waste and keep a close eye on food quality.

The role:
Work with the team leader and other operatives to achieve production targets and maximise efficiency
Follow the company Health & Safety guidelines
Identify areas of inefficiency and waste
Tray wash
Ensure that product is rotated to minimise waste
To be mindful of product quality, integrity and tracability
To complete to a high-standard, and all necessary documentation is completed
Maintain a respectful and constructive working relationship with colleagues and managers

Where you come in as a Production Operative…

This part of the factory is where you will be packing the eggs carefully into boxes to be shipped off to their destination. They travel down the conveyor belt already in the cartons. You would be checking on the produce.The packaging is created as you go, making this a fast pace role. Once the eggs are boxed they will be collected and taken to the next step within the warehouse. Fast paced environment.

Physical:
The production process requires manual handling to an estimated maximum of 16 kilos. The bedend process requires repetitive bending. Several areas require the use of manual pallet trucks. The jobholder should have a reasonable level of fitness and should report any conditions that may be aggravated by the required activities.

Requirements:
Driver with own vehicle - (non drivers to be located within a 5 mile radius)
Team Oriented and a great work drive.
