As a Programme Support Officer (Access Review) in the Improving Access to General Practice team, the post holder works as part of this dynamic high-profile team providing an effective support function delivering improved access to general practice services.
In particular, the post holder will be responsible for:
Providing high quality project and administrative support.
Supporting the team on work programmes including the co-ordination of a number of national events and visits and the following up of actions and typing of notes.
Supporting the team Programme Co-Ordinator with secretariat to the National Advisory Group and Working Group, including minute taking during the meeting and follow up of actions when Programme Co-ordinator is off.
Supporting the team as required to ensure that the portfolio of tasks/projects is planned, managed and delivered effectively.
Ensure accurate and open communication and co-ordination with a range of organisations and individuals, drafting correspondence and papers and ensuring the management of specific tasks, lead reporting and analysis across a range of specialities, functions and projects.
Please note that the due to the process entailed in the national access review, there will be an expectation of some travel involved in this role, including visits to GP practices and hub sites to see front line services and speak with clinicians/commissioners.
