Project Manager

Brook Street is currently working on behalf of our Global IT Client to recruit a Project Manager.
This is a contract role based in London Paddington for (9) months.

Daily Rate: As a Ltd Company £425.00 per day / Umbrella rate up to £400 per day plus 5% end of contract bonus, depending on experience.

Job Description
This role is covering for Maternity leave starting in June. However, a handover would be ideal.
There is a team of 35, this includes; engineers, designers and PMs. The team are building a windows inbox app around digital assistance.
The team all sit in an open space together in Paddington. The broader organisation is around a team of 600 across 6 different countries, so there will be international calls. However, this role is mainly liaising with internal London team.

Responsibilities
A typical day in this role can include:
- Work with creative teams to establish and implement requirements for content generation
- Drive the delivery of excellent quality software through all aspects of development
- Plan the projects, own, the backlog, track the bugs and report about progress on the projects
- Identify multi-product/service dependency issues and scheduling priorities, and establishes milestone exit criteria
- Translate between an agile team and a milestone driven multi-project program
- Drive collaboration across teams and ensures that people with the right expertise are involved. Find ways to accomplish more by enabling others
- Improve systems to manage product feedback from customers and resolve issues.
- Understand data driven development and how this can be used to drive quality and prioritize development
- Consistently contribute key ideas to the vision that appeal to the customer's sense of style, fun, and aesthetics as well as their functional needs
- Embody the studio's Engineering Principles
- Be flexible and able to adapt to new challenges
- Challenge engineering team to be better and more predictable

Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will be:
- Proven experience shipping many successful apps on various platforms
- At least 2 years' experience in similar Project Management roles
- Understanding and good working knowledge of task management systems (e.g.TFS, VSO…)
- Experience with Digital Assistants
- Experience with Mobile, Windows and .Net
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams and stakeholders

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- BSc, BEng, or MS in Computer Science
