Job Description

Brook Street is working with a leading local authority housing organisation currently seeking a Project Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy team, delivering a portfolio of projects which align to the Housing and wider business strategies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
" Prepare a review of management and status of planned maintenance, cyclical repairs, safety servicing: programmes, budgets, issues
" Undertake a review of the contracts in place for planned maintenance, cyclical repairs, safety servicing
" Lead Reactive Repairs procurement implementation
" Review Biomass project
" Review status of asset condition surveys - profiling age, condition, investment profiles, repair history
" Create a framework of internal progress updates - monthly activity reports that slot into quarterly corporate reports
" Prepare budget planning, reporting and reviewing procedures

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
" Your recent UK working experience going back at least 5 years, or full employment history if you have been working for fewer years than this.
" Your availability to work either immediately, or at short notice.
QUALIFICATIONS:
" HNC or HND level with a demonstrable track record as a project manager.
EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:
" Demonstrate experience and knowledge of building and design, maintenance, repair and refurbishment in relation to public sector housing and / or other public buildings from inception to completion.
" Thorough knowledge of building legislation and the Building Regulations.
SKILLS:
" Ability to adapt quickly to an ever-changing environment and be able deal with a wide variety of different schemes.
" Ability to effectively manage and lead on a number of projects at any one time.
" Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with other colleagues, technical and non-technical, working parties, external clients and agencies, Councillors and committees, tenants, leaseholders, contractors and consultants.
" Ability to write technical reports.
" Ability to illustrate creativity in order to solve building design and maintenance-related technical problems.
" Ability to prepare project programmes, plan and deliver projects according to the programme within budgets and fees and to monitor and control costs at all stages.
" Ability to co-ordinate the work of project staff with each other to ensure efficient and well run projects, working within agreed fee levels and time allocations.
