Job Description

Our Public Sector client is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Project Officer to join the their team on a full-time, temporary basis to manage some important projects for 9 months. You will play a key role in ensuring that the team delivers on a range of projects and will be responsible for providing coordination and support across the whole team. The role is Monday to Friday £9.28 an hour, rising to £10.31 after a period of 12 weeks. The role is for 6 months.


A key component of your role will be to keep track of a number of projects, some of which relate to individual healthcare services, and some of which span all of them (performance reporting, IT infrastructure development). The role also involves either developing reports in house, or working with commissioning support units to develop reports which are used by different groups according to their needs. There is also the need to understand and sometimes manage the routine processes that the team must comply with.


Key Responsibilities

As Health and Justice Project officer, the post holder will have lead responsibility for the following commissioning areas:

Managing the range of projects with which the team is engaged and ensuring delivery of milestones an achievement of project benefits

Managing data and reporting for all services



You will need some project management experience, interpersonal and organisational skills, as well as excellent communication skills. You will have experience in coordination and administrative processes and systems and be able to develop and improve ways of managing projects as necessary.


The rate of pay is £9.28 an hour rising to £10.31 after a period of 12 weeks. Holiday entitlement and pension scheme available.
