Project Support Officer - Environment Agency

Brook Street are looking for a Project Support Officer to work for our client, Environment Agency. This is a temporary position for 6 Months which is likely to be extended dependent on business demand

Location- Leeds (LS11)
You will be working 2-3 days per week in the office (Hybrid working)
Pay Rate-
£12.58ph
Shifts- Monday-Friday (9-5)

Role overview:
We are looking for a project support officer where communication and organisation are essential, giving our teams the support they need by efficiently and accurately handling project information. In this valued role, you will gain in-depth understanding of large-scale projects that are having a hugely positive effect across the country.

You will:

  • Carry out project work relating to flood risk management within the project and contract management team. Key focus would be around climate change, carbon and sustainability or any other hot topics.
  • Provide support, either in delivery of professional or specialised business activities as part of a larger team, or providing administrative / executive support to roles in the wider organisation
  • May act as customer contact for the team, collating and coordinating responses to and from customers and partners on business management and support queries. Ensures responses are delivered accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Consider the sensitivity and / or confidentiality of work undertaken and is required to handle information appropriately.
  • Provides timely data / information to teams and services users, ensuring it is accurate and fulfils customer requirements. This may involve preparing routine reports / analyses / presentations. In some cases, this may require use of specialised systems and information.
  • Be flexible to changes as no 2 days are the same.

Skills and Experience:

  • Specific and relevant skills and / or experience to independently carry out required tasks and activities in a business support or customer facing capacity.
  • Project Support and admin experience
  • Use own initiative
  • Good attention to detail
  • Able to exercise judgement in prioritisation and highlighting potential issues.
  • Good level of literacy and numeracy required.
  • Required to build relationships based on understanding customer's needs and providing the service required.
  • Experience working on a range of Microsoft applications

Full training will be given for this exciting role. It is open to anyone with a passion for the environment and someone willing to learn and develop.
