Job Description

Northamptonshire Police are currently recruiting for an Estates Project Support Officer for their Headquarters. This role will be working from home in line with govt guidelines until Jan 2021 (subject to change) and then will be based in a newly built Headquarters. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of setting up the new building, as well as long term facilities, maintenance and estate projects.

Brief description of duties
Assist in the planning and development of the programme and thereafter track progress making use of specialist tools or checkpoint meetings as required.

Manage programme and project documentation to include plans, risks and issue logs, and provide progress reports as directed by the Programme.

Provide administrative support and undertake tasks for the Programme Team to include co-ordinating activities such as workshops, taking minutes at key meetings and updating actions.

To undertake research and analytical work on behalf of the Programme Team.

Liaise with senior officers of the force and strategic partners, ensuring any issues raised are resolved or directed to the most appropriate resource.

Act as the first point of contact in the team for internal and external customers, responding promptly to queries with timely and relevant information to force staff offering reassurance and engendering confidence in the project.

Work Experience:
Proven ability to manage project documentation and prepare and present performance and management information and reports.

Excellent negotiation, initiative, communication and interpersonal skills.

IT literacy including the use of Microsoft applications, the internet and Force systems that are relevant to the role.

Essential :
Experience within a programme/project management office, or in Estates/Facilities department.
