Project Support Officer
Temporary until end July 21 with possible extension
Monday - Friday 37 hours p/w
£12.95 per hour
WFH - Occasional travel to offices

Our Public Sector client are looking for Project Support Officer to join their team on a temporary basis. The purpose of this role is to assist the MMO Blue Belt Team achieve its business objectives by providing an efficient and effective smooth running of their management office to ensure the government's commitment to double the area of ocean under marine protection across its UK Overseas Territories.

The post-holder will be responsible for a diverse range of activities to support delivery of the programme and coordinate business activities. You will be responsible for supporting the Blue Belt MMO team and providing excellent secretariat support.

The Blue Belt team are dispersed and work using a blend of virtual and in person meetings. Travel will be required to attend meetings.

Key duties will include:
" Support the Programme Management Office through enabling the Programme timeline of meetings and reporting runs smoothly, helping the team to adhere to the processes and timescales set out.
" Act as the focal point for project response to external requests for information by monitoring Blue Belt mailbox ensuring documents are circulated and stored appropriately.
" Filing electronic documents to SharePoint sites
" Maintaining and updating databases including SharePoint lists, stakeholder contacts lists and Programme SharePoint Calendars
" Booking venues through available resources, sending meeting invites and tracking attendance at programme meetings
" Prepare meeting documentation, agendas, meeting papers and concise and accurate minute taking for Delivery Partner Team meetings and other programme meetings as required
" Provide support and input to business planning events for the Delivery Partner Team meetings, to support the business areas to develop business plans that align to the programme strategic aims and objectives.
" Make appropriate travel and accommodation arrangements in line with Cabinet Office guidelines
" Arrange internal and external meetings/events, ensuring requisite facilities are available
" Producing regular reporting updates for the team and for the programme including High level work plan reporting.
" Arranging overseas travel through available resources as required
