Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Project Support Officer to support the Primary Care Team.


Hours: Monday - Friday 37.5 hours: 9-5:30
Pay: £9.09 per hour.

As a Project Support Officer you will provide an efficient and effective support service as well as planning, organising and attending both virtual and venue based events, monitoring a generic Team email inbox, using spreadsheets to monitor contractual returns, attending meetings and taking notes and assisting the Team with contractual aspects of commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and project support to the Primary Care Team in the delivery of projects and contractual commitments/deadlines effectively and to time.
  • Support the Primary Care Team and project leads in delivering specific aspects of the current work programme, commensurate with grade.
  • On direction research areas of good practice and collate information to support the work of the team.
  • Be a first point of contact for queries from internal and external stakeholders and practices with regards to projects, resolving queries where possible and escalating when required in a timely manner, inclusive of monitoring the generic email inbox.
  • Support meetings in the capacity of organising, preparing (whether digitally or face to face), collating papers, taking action notes and producing meeting minutes where required.
  • Provide support and back up to the Senior Business Support Officer and Business Support Officer.
  • Use a variety of methods, including oral, written and electronic, to communicate Primary Care information to internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist in the induction of new members of staff to the Team.
  • Lead on all practical arrangements/set up in regard to meetings/workshops, venues and invitations to presenters and participants, working on own initiative.
  • Prepare high quality presentational materials for use at meetings/workshops including pre-prepared flip charts, hand-outs and PowerPoint presentations in liaison with managers.
  • Prepare and produce documents, reports, letters, agendas, etc.
  • Any other appropriate delegated duties as required for the effective performance of the post, commensurate with the banding of the role.
