Job Description

We are looking for project support officers to join our client the Ministry of Justice

Location: Working from home but a hybrid model may be introduced to work from the offices based in Leeds City Centre. You may on the odd time be asked to travel to London and complete a days work down their to coincide with the different projects you may be working on

Pay: £10.21 rising to £10.97 after 12 weeks

Contract Length: 9 months with possible extension subject to business requirements

About the role


The successful candidate will have the ability to support and deliver project management products. The successful candidate must adapt to working with project team users on different platforms and adopt a project management approach to deliver the work.


These Project Support roles will be treated as specialised flexible resource to support the MoJ Portfolio priority projects. These roles will be expected to support the programmes and projects in maintaining the Project Delivery process and products. You will need adaptable and flexible skills to adapt and be comfortable with a fast-paced changing environment.

The successful candidate skills and experience for these roles- which are in line with the Band D Project Support Project Management Competency Framework- must include:

Essential
Ability to assist /support with and maintain appropriate systems to enable effective planning and scheduling.

Ability to assist in maintaining project controls and in producing project reports through guidance.

Responsible for project file management using robust version control. Organise key project meetings and provide secretariat support.

Assist with maintaining the stakeholder log for internal and external stakeholders. Act as the focal point for project responses to external requests for information.

Assist with the monitor of project spend and contribute to the compilation of budgets. Maintains an accurate asset register for the project.

Assist with and maintain risk and issue logs, escalating as appropriate.


Qualifications:

Experience of organising teams, establishing processes and working to deadlines.

Able to use Microsoft Office tools.

Desirable:
Project Management knowledge or experience
