Job Description

Are you a support worker with experience of mental health seeking a new permanent opportunity within South Ribble areas? If so, please read on. This may be the ideal opportunity for you.

Working for an established organisation working with adults with mental health and learning disabilities. An innovative organisation that provides excellent support to vulnerable people.

As a project support worker, you will be supporting individuals to live independently and make good decisions, supporting them to carry out tenancy responsibilities, support them with all aspects of daily living skills. You will support with learning life skills such as budgeting, employment, and further education. You will adhere to company policies and procedures and relevant legislation. The role includes travelling to a number of service locations such as Leyland, Preston, Chorley, Upholand, Bamber Bridge and Penwortham.

Ideally, you will be an open minded and resilient individual who is not easily phased and non-judgemental. You will be keen to make a difference and have a positive attitude with strong values and behaviours.

To be considered for the role, ideally you will have a background with dealing with mental health and learning disabilities and experience with working in a similar setting. Ideally to have a background within forensics also.

We offer a competitive salary with the opportunity to enhance through sleep in allowances of £45 per sleep in. Other benefits include holidays, training, and progression. Travel expenses to training will be honoured. There would be excellent scope for career development.
