Job Description

Brook Street Social Care are currently recruiting for Project Workers in the Leyland area - 37 hours per week with a salary of £18,325 - £23,776 *This includes an average of 2 sleep ins per weeks at a rate of £50 per night


Due to company expansion an exciting opportunity as arisen and is not to be missed. Our client is looking to employ 8 Project workers to integrate into a friendly and supportive environment for adults with learning disabilities and or mental health needs who have a forensic history, who perhaps need a new focus on life, The work is very rewarding with no two days being the same. You will be part of a supportive team sharing the workload, looking after each other and celebrating success together.


Can you be a positive role model? Do you have the ability to work under pressure whilst staying calm? Can you treat everyone as an individual no matter the situation or life history?
Can you help someone with support needs to build a really good quality of life? Are you willing to help people enjoy activities such as fell walking, mountain biking in the lake district, sky diving, sea fishing, quad biking, go karting, paint balling, ice skating and trips on holiday as well as day to day support such as cooking, shopping, cleaning and day trips out. If so we want to hear from you!


You would be empowering the People you support by promoting independence, offering emotional support and helping them achieve a life worth living.


The ideal candidate should have a NVQ/QCF Level 2 Health & Social Care, but relevant experience will be considered if no qualification is held. Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities and additional needs OR experience in mental health or youth work is desirable but not essential.
