Project Worker

Job Description

Here at BS Social Care we have an exciting new role with a leading children's charity. The role is to provide support to children and young people who have housing issues and could be young parents.

The duties of the Family Support Worker will involve:

- Providing 1:1 support to children, young people and families affected by domestic abuse and/or violence or delivering of structured group programmes to children, young people and families affected by domestic abuse and/or violence.

- Working in partnership with Children's Services, Police and other key partners to achieve positive outcomes for children, young people and their families.

- Deliver support to children, young people and their families against a structured Support Plan following assessment, working alongside other agencies and organisations where required to meet need.

- Work co-productively and collaboratively with children, young people and their families to support long term, sustainable outcomes.

Ideally, candidates will:

- Experience of working with children, young people and their families.

- Will be able to demonstrate expertise in working with children, young people and families affected by domestic abuse and/or violence.

- Will have sound knowledge and experience of safeguarding, working alongside Social Services.
