Job Description

Brook Street (UK) Ltd are currently recruiting for a "Purchase Ledger Clerk" for our care home and hospitality client, our client has developed substantially in recent years and wishes to expand their team to cope with demands. This role is a permanent position based in Belfast, operating on a part-time basis with 20-24 hours weekly guaranteed.

Duties shall include but not be limited to:

- Matching, batching and coding all invoices
- Posting invoices and credit notes accurately on the system in an efficient way
- Reconciling supplier statements to the purchase ledger
- Performing supplier payment runs and cheque payment processes fortnightly, with adhoc payments being processed as required
- Month end procedures relating to the Creditors Ledger
- Resolution of internal and external queries
- Liaising with internal staff to follow up on queries and documentation

Essential Criteria

- 2 years` experience in a similar role
- Purchase ledger experience including use of Sage 50
- Strong IT skills including popular office software packages e.g. Excel
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good organisational and time management skills, with experience of working to deadlines - Excellent command of spoken and written English
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK

Desirable Criteria

- Experience of working in the Hospitality and / or Care Sectors
- Ability to produce adhoc financial summary reports
