Purchasing Manager
Shrewsbury
Salary £35,000 - £36,000pa DOE

My client is based in Shrewsbury and have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced purchasing expert to join them on a permanent basis. My client has a wealth of expertise in product distribution across the UK and put the customer at the heart of all business decisions. You will be joining a company that invests in its people and who advocate innovation.

The Role:

You will be joining a small established purchasing team working in a modern bright environment and your will be involved in the following:

Managing a large supplier network, ensuring conformity to both quality & lead times
You will be researching new potential suppliers and negotiate new terms prior to on-boarding them as a new supplier
Produce tenders
Complete analysis projects and produce reports for the management team.

You:
Will have previous purchasing experience
Ideally have worked within distribution
Be able to demonstrate where you have delivered savings in relation to cost or lead times without compromising on quality
Be able to demonstrate effective communication skills
Be confident to put forward ideas to enhance and grow the business
