Education Authority Northern Ireland is seeking a Psychology Assistant to work within their Education Psychology department in Kilrea, Co. Derry.

In order to secure a Psychology Assistant, Brook Street (UK) Ltd is now inviting applications for this role with a view to getting the successful candidate started in June 2022.

Working under the supervision of an Educational Psychologist, the Psychology Assistant's main duties will be to contribute positively and in a complementary way to service delivery of the EA Psychology Service. They will assist the Psychologists who are working within Education Authority Northern Ireland, and contribute to the Education Authority's responsibilities for children with special educational needs. Duties will include assisting with the assessment of children, communicating results to parents and Teachers, recording the results of assessments and the advice given, and monitoring the effectiveness of Stage 3 and Stage 5 interventions.

The Psychology Assistant will join an established team in Education Authority Northern Ireland's Kilrea office, work 36 hours per week between 0900 & 1700 Monday to Friday, earn £10.47 per hour, and have the opportunity to apply for fixed-term and permanent roles directly with EANI while they're working in this role through Brook Street (UK) Ltd. Applicants must have a 2:1 Honours degree in Psychology, and must have a minimum of 12 months' experience of working with children in an education, youth, or health & social services setting.
