Job Description

Brook Street Recruitment is thrilled to be working with our client, a leading name in the industry, to find an enthusiastic and detail-oriented QHSE Administrator to join their team!

About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a forward-thinking company that prioritises safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Our client is looking for someone who's passionate about keeping people safe, loves variety in their work, and is ready to roll up their sleeves to make a real difference.

As a QHSE Administrator, you'll play a key role in ensuring that Health & Safety standards are met and exceeded across the business. You'll work closely with different teams, helping to drive safety initiatives, maintain quality systems, and support day-to-day operations.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supporting the delivery of the company's Health & Safety strategic plan - you'll be right at the heart of it all!
  • Taking minutes in meetings, updating action logs, and handling sensitive information.
  • Assisting with the implementation of corrective actions following incident investigations (because safety always comes first!).
  • Supporting various forums and working groups across the business to encourage engagement and improvement.
  • Managing the Health & Safety SharePoint site - keeping everything up to date and accessible.
  • Reporting and administering QHSE platforms, ensuring data is accurate and timely.
  • Helping ensure safe systems of work are running smoothly, and providing admin support to the quality team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Keep the HSE planner on track by arranging inspections and collections when needed.
  • Assist in training sessions on Risk Assessments, COSHH assessments, and general Health & Safety awareness.
  • Maintain registers for lifting equipment, forklift trucks, and other safety-critical tools.
  • Conduct shop floor audits and inspections, recording your findings and sharing insights.
  • Help deliver HSE training and toolbox talks, and keep all training records up to date.
  • Work with the workforce to capture QHSE suggestions and ideas for continuous improvement.
  • Chase non-conformity reports and help the QA team manage service calls and supplier returns.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in a similar QHSE role - especially if you have a background in production or manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation - including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, with an IOSH Managing Safely qualification or higher.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 and confident in writing Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • A proactive and organised individual who is detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
  • A team player who can also work independently, with a flexible, can-do attitude!

Why Apply?
This is more than just a QHSE admin role - it's a chance to work with a company that values its people, prioritises safety, and is committed to continuous improvement. Our client is looking for someone who's ready to make an impact and help drive their business forward.
