Job Description

An international manufacturing company, with an established factory in the Newport, Gwent area is looking to appoint a Quality & Efficiency Engineer to manage continuous improvement within the manufacturing site. This site is based in Newport but is easily accessed from the Cardiff, Bristol and Swansea areas.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving efficiencies within the manufacturing plant, focusing on loss elimination and reducing overall manufacturing costs for the site. Experience of quality systems and production methods are essential, together with a Mechanical or Electrical engineering degree.

Familiarity with fault analysis, root cause, human error, and PMO are essential skills for the successful candidate.

In addition to the skills required for this role, the successful candidate must have up to date knowledge of mechanical and electrical legislation, standards and guidance. Systems include:

Pumps, tanks, fans, gearboxes, lighting, switchgear, transformers and power distribution.
