Our industry leading client based in the heart of Leicester is looking to recruit a Garment Technician to join their quality team in an established business. It is essential that the candidate has solid knowledge of garment construction and they are able to create, amend and grade size specs.

Responsibilities:

Ensuring the quality and the fit of the product is correct and fit for purpose for each individual customer.

To oversee the development of garments from buying / 1st Fit through to production
Attending regular fit sessions with customers and updating size specs and workbooks with customer comments.

Tracking all stages of sealing. Establishing and approving graded specs / size charts.

Working to critical path priorities and chasing factory for required fit / sealing / production samples and all relevant paperwork.

Working closely with merchandisers to ensure critical path dates are met at every stage.

Attending regular fit sessions with clients and updating size specs

Amending size specs and grades, ensuring every garment is risked assessed

Communication with the customer and factory on a daily basis

Requirements:

" At least 3 years + experience in a similar position
" Basic pattern cutting experience is desirable
" Able to work at a fast pace
" Able to communicate with clients on a daily basis via telephone and email
" Good IT skills in word and excel
