Location: Peterborough
Hourly Rate: £12.30 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
Start date ASAP

Job Description:
Brook Street are looking for a warm, welcoming, and professional Receptionist to join a dynamic team in Peterborough.
This is a temporary to permanent position offering an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to develop within a friendly and supportive working environment. As the first point of contact for visitors and clients, you will play a key role in ensuring a professional and efficient front-of-house experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist visitors in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression of the company.
- Answer incoming calls, transfer them to the appropriate department, and take messages when necessary.
- Manage visitor access, ensuring security procedures are followed.
- Maintain the reception area, keeping it tidy, welcoming, and well-presented at all times.
- Handle administrative tasks such as managing appointments, scheduling meeting rooms, and distributing mail.
- Assist with general office duties, such as filing, photocopying, and data entry as required.
- Provide support to colleagues and departments as needed to ensure smooth office operations.
- Ensure that all queries, both in-person and over the phone, are dealt with in a courteous and efficient manner.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a warm and friendly approach to customer service.
- Professional and well-presented appearance.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a busy environment.
- Basic administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Previous experience in a receptionist or front-of-house role is desirable but not essential.
- A proactive, positive attitude and a team player.
