Receptionist
Aylesbury
Temporary, Full Time

Brook Street is currently working on behalf of our Public Sector client to recruit a Receptionist. This is a temporary role based in Aylesbury and will run temporarily initially.

Salary/Hours
Paid £7.83 (37.5 hours weekly)
Monday through Friday 9.00-17.30, (but 11.00-19:30 Wednesdays if able)

Job Description
Brook Street`s client is looking to add a confident receptionist to their busy team. This role is a customer facing position in which you will be aiding the public with daily queries and processes, working alongside your team to make sure the office runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible. You must be able to communicate effectively and clearly relay sensitive information to the public as well as government employees/officials.

Key Responsibilities
" Greet visitors, logging arrival and departure, issuing visitor passes as necessary
" Handle all queries and referring to correct department
" Handle incoming/outgoing phone calls, relaying detailed messages to the appropriate people
" Manage all incoming/outgoing/internal mail
" Take bookings, support and service meeting rooms-including training as required
" Handle petty cash for transport for approved visitors
" Assist in maintaining Health & Safety and security aspects of the premises (including testing fire/panic alarms, monitoring CCTV and assisting in evacuation methods)
" Log all building faults and keep log of maintenance and repairs
" Assist with scanning and archiving as required
" Order stationery in liaison with your line manager

Candidate Requirements
" Excellent communicator
" Prompt and professional demeanour
" Organised
" Basic computer and Microsoft skills

Qualifications
" You will need to provide 3 years of complete references
" You will need to pass a BPSS + DS, as well as other more minor checks
" Administrative experience is appreciated but training will be given
