Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Records administrator to join our client Network Rail on a temporary basis

If you have experience of working in retail or customer service then this may be the opportunity for you

  • Location: Audax Road, York, YO30 4US
  • Hours: Monday- Friday 35 Hours a week
  • Assignment length: 6, end of March 2022(may be extended subject to business requirements)
  • Salary: £11.30 per hour (Annually £20,566)

The role:

You will provide routine administrative support tasks according to well-established procedures.

Examples of work performed will include but not be restricted to:

  • Monitor the movement of records and electronic data from and to the Record Centre.
  • Provide reports regarding the status of records and data. Input to and maintain data in electronic records management systems.
  • Investigate the circumstances of requests of record and data already booked-out or unobtainable and report on the position.
  • Supply information only prints, source records, Computer Aided Design (CAD) files and data when required.
  • Undertake general office duties as directed.
  • Assist with the provision of records configuration details, including drawing numbers, version control and records format
  • interacting with stakeholders, via phone and email.
  • Manual handling of moving the records around the building will be conducted as well


Desirable skills and experience:

  • Have experience in working in record management/assistance roles
  • Experience of working in a structured environment (following instructions)
  • If you have a good customer service background (contact centres) this role could be an opportunity for you due to interacting with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Attention to detail is key
  • Ok with manual working (heavy lifting)
